Colour: Thick black and very opaque with a fine ring of dark tan. As it is swirled around the glass it appears a little oily like a thick red wine. Bold, silky with zero carbonation.

Beautifully balanced and supremely drinkable. There was a great selection available and I could only have so many during my visit. So I nabbed a few bottles to take away and sample later. Firestone Walker 31 Pale, Deschutes Black Bull Porter and Brooklyn’s Post Road Pumpkin Ale were tucked away into my bag, off we headed into the rainy streets of Leeds.
